These walks in North Uist are well worth doing and not too strenuous at all. Was surprised to find out that the carving of Hercules the bear statue was done by one of my brothers friends - Iain Chalmers @ Chainsaw Creations. Click here to watch the YouTube Video from the outing.

Just had time for a very quick swim in the sea on the stunning West Beach of Berneray before we caught the ferry over to Leverburgh. Definitely coming back here again. Click here to watch the YouTube Video from the outing. Kellie and myself took a hike up to the summit of Heaval, which is the highest point in Barra. We stopped off at the statue on the way up. The higher you get, the more amazing the panoramic views are. Definitely worth doing. Took us 2 hours round trip. A beautiful swim with blue skies and lovely clouds too. Click here to watch the YouTube Video from the outing. Click here to find out more about Kisimul Castle. Kellie and myself took a spin in the van over the causeway from Barra to Vatersay which is another beautiful Hebridean island with stunning beaches. We checked out the Queen's beach and had a swim in the turquoise tranquil waters at East beach, obviously after photos at the famous gate ☺️ No signs of the cow's that appear in other people's pics. A fantastic 6 days with Kellie in the Southern Isle's of the Western Isle's ☺️ We stayed in Kilbride campsite in South Uist, Wavecrest campsite in Barra and Sealladh Alainn glamping pod in North Uist - all of which we'd highly recommend. Over the days, we climbed 3 hills (Eriskay, Barra and North Uist), explored some of Eriskay where Kellie and myself swam at the beautiful Whisky Galore beach, I swam around Kisimul Castle in front of Castlebay in Barra while Kellie spotted from the slipway. We swam at East beach (no sign of the cows that are usually there) and Kellie dipped her toes in the sea at the Queen's beach on Vatersay. A day trip from Barra with Hebridean Sea Tour's onboard 'The Spirit of The Hebrides' took us out to Mingulay (part of the Bishops Isle's) where Kellie and I had a look around the old settlement before swimming back to the boat. This is definitely worth doing if you have the time. We went to Am Politician, Kildonan Museum, Barra Gin, Castlebay Hotel, Flora Macdonald's birth place, Barpa Langass, Pobull Fhinn stone circle, Hercules the bear, Dun an Sticir, Coralbox and managing a very quick swim in the sea at West beach Berneray before we caught the sound of Harris ferry back to Leverburgh. Even saw an owl and a few eagles too. Click here to watch the YouTube Video from the outing. Sunny weather made for an amazing swim at Garrabost this morning with Ailsa and Jackie. Due to the low tide it was a different route from usual but we got into the hot tub, saw sand that glittered like gold and heard seals singing too. A fantastic mini adventure. We swam round one of the islands and then back to shore. Lot's of jellyfish, wee fish, sea urchins, a few starfish, plenty of bird's, a plane and an enthusiastic dog. Conditions were lovely, calm and clear. Click here to watch the YouTube Video from the outing. Plenty of people out for a swim this afternoon at bayble beach. With a mix of abilities, some stayed close to shore and others headed over towards the other beach and to the waterfall. We definitely got the best of the weather but unfortunately there seemed to be a few jellyfish on the go. Click here to watch the YouTube Video from the outing. Took Sarah and Lupo (who's visiting from the mainland) out for a spin along the Hushinish road, stopping for a hike out the back of the castle up to the cairn to get the stunning views before heading to Hushinish for some lunch while looking over towards Scarp and Traigh Mheilein. We pulled in at my favourite Harris waterfall on the way back so I could have a dook and cool off. A cracking day out for sure. Photo's are not in order.
