A bluesy swim across the mini reef near the UI Church end of the braighe this afternoon.... Duckman was saying 6.5 degrees. 800m towards my Artic pbc, now at 2.6k for the month. Click here for YouTube Video link Fantastic clear sea this morning at the UI Church for a swim with Jo. Duckman was saying a balmy 6.3 degrees though we both were sure that it felt colder in places. 800 metres towards my Artic pbc, monthly total now at 1.8k. Click here for YouTube Video Link Needed the sledgehammer this morning to break through the ice on the river for a fresh dook. Duckman is now thawing out after his 0.6 degrees outing. The water clarity was amazing and with Duckman saying a chilly 5.8 degrees, it made for a very quick change afterwards. Air temp -2 with the usual bitter wind chill thrown in too. 200metres towards my artic pbc, now at 1k for the month. Fantastic swim after work today with Seumas at Swordale bay. Duckman was saying 6 degrees. Stunning with the sunlight glancing through the sea. Happy times during difficult times....400metres towards my artic pbc, now at 800m for the month. A very quick dip in a fresh water river today. Wearing gloves, shoes, rashvest, earplugs and swim cap & twammers. The lowest temperature I've ever been in at. 4 minutes was enough for the now. Treat it with respect.. Was great to be out in the sea again..a no bad 6.5 degrees at swordale bay this morning, with a biting wind chill made for a very quick change back at the car. :) 400 metres towards my Artic PBC. |
