This morning saw me do my 5th and final 10k swim over the 5 weeks of September for the Laura Hyde Foundation as part of the We Remember Them 2021 virtual relay.. Steamy goggles made it a bit annoying but still got the job done..Thanks to Seumas for joining me at the beginning. Thanks to everyone who has donated so far.. Fantastic swim at the braighe this morning on the broadbay side. This is my 4th 10k swim for the Laura Hyde Foundation as part of the We Remember Them 2021 virtual relay, 1 mo to go. Birds, sand eels, crabs and even a skate certainly took my mind of the distance as well as finding a golf ball on the sea bed. Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. The link for donations can be found here by clicking here. 2nd 10k swim completed this morning at the braighe as part of my We Remember Them 2021 virtual relay challenge to raise funds for the Laura Hyde Foundation. Did 3k on the minch side but the amount of jellyfish and poor water quality made me change to the broadbay side for the last 7k. The difference was night and day. 3 10k's left to do 🙂 Thanks for the donations so far and if anyone else would like to donate, you can do so by clicking here. 5 of us this morning for a swim from the braighe round to Swordale bay and back. A decent chop, plenty of jellies and fish too. Good times :) #hebseaswimmers Had made a wee video of me talking about the Laura Hyde Foundation and the We Remember Them 2021 virtual relay that I'm taking part in, swimming 10k a week, each week during September. Then when I got home I found out that I had my hand over the mic part of the go pro enjoy the music instead and hopefully make a donation to the only UK charity focused on mental health support and awareness for our medical and emergency services.
