Fantastic Trip with Donna and Ciara to the East Coast of Scotland which included a bit of sightseeing to Tarlair, swimming (in my Tweedo's) at Sandend and with the amazing Ardersier Seals at Nairn beach (in my Twammer's), who turned up on a Monday afternoon for a swim with me. Thanks to Rhona, Dave, Iain, Donna & others for looking after me at the Nairn Community & Arts Centre where I was totally out of my comfort zone giving a talk on open water swimming. I don't really do public speaking. Thanks also to everyone who came along, hopefully enjoying the evening. We do live in an amazing country....

The Tweedo's were in Tolsta this morning for a swim with Donnie at the Cladach. What a place for it too, it's stunning there. A few good waves knocking us over, what a laugh. Saw a lone dolphin/porpoise when we getting changed after. Duckman was saying 7 degrees. 450 metres for my second & final polar bear challenge swim. Fantastic weather for an outing with Murdanie over to the Conachro bay tidal pool in Harris. Sporting my Hunting Macleod 'Twammers' I got in for a dook to complete my first March Polar Bear Challenge swim, with 250 metres. Duckman was saying 6.1 degrees average. What a place, we sat and watched the sea at times crash over the rocks.....I think we'll be back....We got plenty of yarns from a local, telling us about among other things, the Govig Penguins... |
