HEBSEASWIMMER - A HEBRIDEAN SWIM ADVENTURER

Heb Sea Swimmers outing from Bosta beach to Little Bernera. Tide was in our favour, so we swam through the kyles and some of us landed at Chapel beach and walked over to the lagoon. It's a beautiful island for sure. Duckman was saying 13.6 degrees averag

Another cracking day for a pre work swim. The sky looked amazing this morning. Swimming with Mhairi always keeps me on my toes as she is fast. No sign of any jellyfish. Duckman was saying 13 degrees. 2.6km @ 42 minutes.

I wonder if the beach missed me as much as I've missed it? Out for a pre work relaxing swim this morning. Cracking way to start the day in the mill-pond conditions. Duckman saying 12.8 degrees. 5.08km @ 1hr37 mins.

Photo's from the 2018 St Kilda Swim trip, 11th-17th August 2018. Amazing bunch of folk involved all round. We swam at Scarp, Loch Resort, Village Bay, Monachs, Taransay & Cearstaigh. Finished off with a swim at Garry Beach. Packed a lot into our time. Thanks to Murdanie, Michaela & Garry for looking after all of us (Island Cruising). Photo's taken by Donna, Stuart, John, Pete, Jo, Eilidh, Murdanie & Myself.

    Thanks for visiting my blog!

I've been a swimmer all my life and over the last several years I've done many challenging open water swims for charity all around our Islands which include the Sound of Barra & the Sound of Harris and both the Little & the Big Minch Channels to name a few.

Having a real passion for open water swimming, I spend a lot of my spare time looking for and discovering amazing new swim spots around the Islands.

I set up The Hebridean Sea Swimmers group in 2011 for all swimmers that live in or visit The Hebrides and it now has over 1000 members. I regularly meet up with visiting swimmers as I love to freely show off our Islands stunning swim locations.

SwimCamping and SwimHiking are my new adventures and having such an amazing playground on my doorstep is fantastic, double bagging my kit into the Lomo waterproof rucksack and swimming to an island for an overnight stay or longer is just the best.

Feel free to get in touch via the contact forms at the top of the page.
