A fantastic place to go to for a picnic lunch. Kellie and Rebecca kayaked while I swam, going from Bosta beach through the kyles and over to Chapel beach. We had a look around the remnants of the old chapel and cemetery before heading to the lagoon, as Kellie and Rebecca hadn't seen it before. Lunch was had on one of the lagoon beaches then it was time for the return leg, which was a bit more difficult with the incoming tide but good fun all the same. A beautiful place and a great day out in decent weather.

I've been a swimmer all my life and over the last several years I've done many challenging open water swims for charity all around our Islands which include the Sound of Barra & the Sound of Harris and both the Little & the Big Minch Channels to name a few.

Having a real passion for open water swimming, I spend a lot of my spare time looking for and discovering amazing new swim spots around the Islands.

I set up The Hebridean Sea Swimmers group in 2011 for all swimmers that live in or visit The Hebrides and it now has over 1000 members. I regularly meet up with visiting swimmers as I love to freely show off our Islands stunning swim locations.

SwimCamping and SwimHiking are my new adventures and having such an amazing playground on my doorstep is fantastic, double bagging my kit into the Lomo waterproof rucksack and swimming to an island for an overnight stay or longer is just the best.
