Braighe (Broadbay side) Swim - 10.08.2025

Kellie, Lola and myself met up with Catherine, Seumas and Dave at the braighe this morning with the latter four of us going for a swim on the broadbay side while Kellie took Lola for a walk. There was a decent flow happening with the outgoing tide but there was just enough height to swim on the inside of the big reef so I was able to swim to the far end of the braighe and back again (approx 2.6km). Spotted a cracking shoal of sand eels near the big reef on my return leg, glinting in the light. Beautiful to watch them dart around.
