Fantastic walk/swim with Malcolm down in Point this morning. Walked out to the beach and did some coastal swimming on the way back to the slipway. Saw some amazing wildlife above and below, which included 2 whopping sized lions mane jellyfish. Duckman was saying a toasty 12.5 degrees average. Had a swim over to Little Bernera yesterday and today to test out the swim camping kit with a 'dry run' without actually having to stay over. Swam with the current, through the kyles round to Chapel beach, where I saw the helicopter hovering about. I landed and set up camp, had some scoff & a brew as well as a wander around. Today I had a play about in the lagoon, visiting a very small island and then back to Bosta. A shame to see the rubbish on the shingly shore. Will be fantastic when allowed to camp there for real. Duckman was saying an average of 12.5 degrees. Fantastic adventure with Malcolm in Point this morning. Swim through the rocks, around the island and under the arch. Malcolm grabbed a cold shower then it was back to base. Duckman was saying a tropical 12.3 degrees. Plenty of jellyfish about too. Check out the video over on the right. Great pre work dook with Mairi at the braighe this morning. Stunning scenery and wildlife. Duckman was saying a tropical 11.3 degrees average. Pretty calm conditions again at the braighe this morning. Had a cracking swim with Malcolm. Duckman was saying 11.3 degrees average. Swam to the bus stop and back. |
