Duckman was saying 14.5 degrees on average. Click here for website details: SurfLewis & Harris - Open Water Swimming A great afternoon of coastal swimming at traigh mhor (Tolsta) with Stuart & Ed. Sea was a tad too choppy for exploration of the caves and even the arch was not suitable for swimming through. You have to know when to say no. We did get through between the sea stacks for some further exploring on the other side. I was testing out the knuckleduster camera attachment that my brother Duncan made on his 3D printer. It worked really well with the lanyard. Duckman was saying 13.4 degrees on average. Good laugh in the surf coming back in to shore. So much to see and do there. Definitely be back for more coastal swim fun... Superb evening for a coastal swim at Garrabost with Stuart & Ed, starting off from the old slipway and working our way around some of the coast between rocks and through the arch. Well done to everyone who took part and thanks to all the helpers who made it a safe and smooth event...No thanks to the midges and rain...Was also great to see some of the people that I have coached taking part, with one of them remarking that the swim was their favourite section of the race. This year I was helping out with the time keeping. Was interesting to see the Triathlon from a spectators point of view..... Due to the warm temps we've been having, just had to get back in the sea again for another swim, no wetsuit this time. Millpond conditions. Duckman was saying 13.8 degrees. A cracking natural lagoon full of wildlife and it even has a wee beach too which seemed a good place to scoff some jaffa cakes before they melted in the sun. Duckman was saying a toasty 14.6 degrees. An absolutely stunning place, some of the photo's just don't do it justice... Cracking coastal swim with Grant at Traigh Mhor, Tolsta this evening.
